[Editor's Note: Free spinning
abuse breaks Zappy drive belts. Free spinning abuse is where you keep
the power on when you bunny hop or jump off a curb. When the rear
wheel gets airborne under power, it has no resistance and spins much
faster. When you land again, it SNAPS back to your actual speed.
Avoid this problem by releasing the throttle switch as you lift off.]

Hey Trevor, You bet you can do tricks on
the Zappy. I have an 18v upgrade version and it rocks. I regularly do
wheelies and jump off curbs everyday. I built a small ramp one day
and was jumping it off of it. I've seen pictures of people with their
Zappies high in the sky and one guy on a halfpipe. Whatever you can
dish out, Zappy can take it. It's the toughest scooter in it's class.
ZDNet confirmed this in an article they did on scooters. Hope this
helps. BUY A ZAPPY!! [Editor's note: Due to the plastic battery case
along the Zappy's bottom, "grinding" will damage your
Zappy. Also, high jumps may cause the battery to break through the
plasted bottom panel. Read the next note.]

The Zappy holds up OK to trick riding. You
will surley drop the battery out of the bottom if you do not remove
the decklid and apply a layer of duct tape around the
battery/frame/body. Then put your decklid back on. Not only will this
keep your body from failing. It will make the whole ride quieter. Josh

I often loan my Zappy to Skateboarders in
downtown San Jose. They are young, light, highly skilled kids. They
can hop it over a curb very easily.

Extreme sports people like the ZAPPY for
its rugged construction and its ability to handle the rigors of urban
street ``zapping.'' A review by Marty Wendt, ``Rippin' It Up Electric
Style,'' at www.bluetorch.com said he put the ZAPPY through six
months of punishment and the scooter ``lived to tell the tale.''
``We subjected the ZAPPY to a far harsher
test than most people would ever unleash upon it, so we can honestly
say the ZAPPY is a pretty tough cookie,'' writes Wendt.
