At the bigger/faster end of two-wheeled electric vehicles are electric motor-scooters and electric motorcycles. Performance of electric motor-scooters (pictured on the left) lies between electric bikes and gas-powered motor-scooters. Motor-scooters with a top speed of 30 mph qualify in most states as a "moped". Electric motorcycles are city cycles, not touring, due to range, but offer better acceleration and less maintenance than fossil-fueled bikes..
