Drift
Electric Motocross
Ride anywhere without noise. This bike is extremely powerful.
On a tight race course you will absolutely destroy similar sized gas bikes.
Wheelies and burnouts cannot be avoided. This is not a toy and
is strictly for offroad use only.
It begins with a 19+ horsepower (14,400 watt) electric vehicle motor
and programmable controller. The power is stored in a special
quick-change power pack that can deliver up to 600 amps. Then
it's wrapped in the lightest handcrafted aluminum frame made in the USA.
The design is so revolutionary, that we are patent pending on 3
patents.
The Drift is an intermediate sized bike. Perfect for young
adult and adult riders, but small enough to be carried in a SUV or on
our hitch rack. The size is similar to a Honda CRF150 (but with
more power).

ShockRay, SwitchBlade, SwitchBlade Extreme
Zortch high-performance personal electric vehicles
ShockRay Mini-Chopper
Overview In
development for over a year, the ShockRay is an excellent overall
personal electric vehicle product for riders of all skill levels. We
start with the super strong StingRay and install an ultra-efficient
1000W brushless DC motor at 48V. This motor includes both an internal
fan for improved cooling and a sealed core design that prevents
contaminates from getting to the sensitive parts of the motor
providing the best features of both sealed and vented motor options.
We also build a custom three speed rear wheel and add dual disc
brakes. We then add a larger 26" front wheel with a Maxxis
Hookworm tire for improved handling, convert the pedals to fixed
forward position pegs, and add the distinctive "ape hanger"
handlebars. ShockRay can climb moderate hills with average sized
riders, offers a 30+mph top speed, and a 20+ mile top range. While
the ShockRay is built for efficiency over raw power, the hub gearing
provides an excellent overall range of use. The ShockRay recovers
most of its charge in under one hour from any standard 120V outlet
using the included super charger package.

El Chopper
A 30+ MPH Custom Electric Motorcycle You Build from Plans
After admiring El Chopper's
classic styling, you'll find it a truly pleasant surprise to sit down
into the comfortable riding position, grab a handful of throttle
(0-30 mph in five seconds), and cruise around town in eerie silence,
and with easy handling. The looks alone that you'll get from kids to
yuppies to hard-core bikers will be worth the price of admission!
El Chopper combines the
latest electric vehicle technology with a totally new approach to
lightweight transportation. El Chopper combines rugged off-road
bicycle wheels, brakes, and suspension with a high-power electric
vehicle motor, controller and inexpensive, readily available
batteries to achieve a very long-range, high-performance,
30-mph-class machine. El Chopper is designed to accommodate
Harley-Davidson seats, tanks, and other accessories to personalize
your machine with off-the-shelf parts. The unique, single-shock rear
suspension, Harley seat, and off-the-shelf front forks provide pure
comfort for around-town cruising. An assortment of battery, gearing,
and cargo-carrying options are possible to adjust to your individual needs.
Building El Chopper is primarily
a frame building and assembly project. If you have done simple steel
welding, 'youll find that the frame is very easy to build using
materials from your local hardware store. If you do not have welding
skills or access to welding equipment, you can have the frame built
by taking the frame drawings and Builder's Guide to a local welding shop.>
Most of the components for El
Chopper are available at local hardware, discount, auto, and bicycle
stores, and your local Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealer. The motor,
controller, throttle, chain, and sprockets are available from
mail-order/web electric vehicle component suppliers and go-cart suppliers.
Electric bicycles are useful and
efficient, but are short on speed and range. There are many electric
scooters and moped two-wheelers out there, but most 30-mph electric
scooters and mopeds have low performance, short range, and they look
like scooters. El Chopper now provides a superior performing electric
in the 30-mph licensing class with the look of a $30,000 custom
Harley. You can build El Chopper in your garage for about $1,000!
Plans are provided in a 67-page,
8.5 X 11- inch, photo-illustrated manual. CAD drawings are provided
in both 2D dimensioned layout drawings and 3D perspectives to give
you a complete view of what you are building. Many detailed photos
and CAD sequences show a step-by-step build-up of the welded steel
frame and the assembly of all the parts to make a complete motorcycle.

all you hear unless you turn on the optional MP3/speaker system that

rolling chassis). And well show you how you can build it yourself!

Cheetah
Complete Builder's Guide, by John Bidwell ($39.95)
<
Cheetah combines a lightweight
frame with the flexibility to integrate standard mountain bike parts,
a choice of electric motors and controllers, and different sets of
affordable, readily available batteries. The result is a machine
configured to your needs. You select the type and size of batteries
for the required range, the motor and controller for the desired
speed, and the mountain bike components for desired stopping and handling.
Some of the motor options are:
the high performance Etek motor, several Scott motors, and many
readily available electric bikemotors.
Cheetah's unique design is
especially versatile because it allows you to begin with a less
expensive, limited speed, limited braking, limited range
configuration. Later, you can upgrade the motor for more performance,
and/or the batteries for longer range, and/or the brakes and
suspension for better handling. One frame accommodates all the configurations.
By choosing the right combination
of batteries and motor, you can produce a Cheetah with performance
figures ranging from 20 to 45 MPH and ranges from 12 to 50 miles! A
complete table is included in the manual to guide you in selecting
the right motor, batteries, and brakes to achieve your design goals.

Blade
The Blade will run with a 250cc moto-cross bike. Silently. On a
motocross track. Or in your own backyard. Urban MX anyone?
A lot of people look at our bikes and get it, but many are left
wondering why someone wouldn't simply buy a cheaper gas-engined
dirtbike and avoid the range limits inherent with electrics. You
deserve an explanation.
E-style is the freedom to ride when and where you want. The 'range
issue' is countered by the access benefits. You get to ride electrics
just about wherever you please. Campgrounds, backyards, parking lots,
horse trails, bike paths, woods trails, parks, BMX tracks; the list
goes on. E-style provides more access than gas-engined moto-ing, so
you get to ride a lot more. Lunch breaks, after work, whatever. No
more waiting for the weekend and driving off to the desert or
recreational riding area.

Gas-Powered Bicycles
The Gas-Powered Alternative
The following sites offer
information on gasoline-powered bicycles and motors.
Generally speaking, they cost
about the same as electric drives. However, they are noisier, hotter,
require more maintenance, and accelerate more slowly. Also, the fuel
smells, costs more, and can be messy to work with. Here in
California, they bear the added legal requirements of a motorized
vehicle (license, registration, insurance). On the upside, they have
greater range, can fuel up in minutes, and have higher cruising
speeds (30 mph by just the motor itself). (If you're after "MORE
POWER", check out Do-It-Yourself
(DIY) for interesting power assist stuff and advice.)
