Unlike most front-wheel installations, this one's on the rear. Note also that the controller is mounted on the down tube between the pedaling legs rather than under the rear rack or behind the seat tube. The Phoenix hub motor on the rear wheel doesn't have the extra torque-countering arm included with the front-mount motors. That's because the rear drop-outs on bikes are stronger than front drop-outs.
