Contents of a Power System Only Kit

Power System Only kits from ElectroRide LLC include almost everything you need to convert your pedal bike at home or at a bike shop except batteries and charger, and we do a lot of the work for you. The wheel is laced to the motor. Every component we ship is bench tested just prior to shipment. Our goal is zero defects in our customers' hands.

If you do not have a battery and charger, order the complete kit rather than this Power System Only kit. Controllers for the Power System Only kit are supplied with no connector (just wires for + and -) to the batteries.

Motor We offer five motors: Phoenix Racer, Phoenix Cruiser, Phoenix Brute, RoadRunner, and Sparrow. Each has a 36V and a 48V option. If you order a front wheel motor, a torque arm is included. If you order a rear wheel motor, a 7-speed freewheel is included.
Spokes We use 12 gauge spokes. Normal bike spokes are 14 gauge. That means less spoke maintenance and a much stronger wheel.
Rim 20", 24", 26" and 700c rims are double-walled. The 16" is not available in double, so it is single-walled.
Lacing We lace the motor to the rim on our bench. We can lace Phoenix motors to 20", 24", 26", and 700c rims. We can lace RoadRunner and Sparrow motors to 16", 20", 24", and 26" rims.
Controller We offer seven controllers: 3640, 4840, and 7240 for Phoenix, 3625 and 4825 for RoadRunner, 3625 and 4825 for Sparrow. To calculate the wattage, multiply the voltage (first two digits of the model) by the amperage (second two digits of the model). A 4840 would be 48 volts X 40 amps = 1920 Watts.
Throttle We offer several choices of throttles. See pictures on our parts page. Your choice of throttle with any system. If you have twist shifters, choose a thumb throttle.
Spoke Wrench We include a spoke wrench.

Things you may want to add:
 Wireset (includes fuse, keyswitch, charger port, 50A Anderson connector)
SY992-10 Anderson connector for the controller - These are tough 50 amp connectors that connect the battery pack and controller via the wireset. If you order a wireset, the wireset comes with one. This "extra" goes on the controller and connects to the one on the wireset. If you order this, we will solder it on to the controller for you.
Lights, speedometer, mirrors Lights and mirrors improve the safety of your ride. A speedometer may turn out to be your best gauge of battery life, particularly if you take the same route frequently. Please browse the selection on our Accessories page.

Since we assemble and package kits at our shop, we can make any substitution you desire. For instance, if you want 12AH batteries with a RoadRunner, we charge only the difference between the 10AH standard and the 12AH you want.
